Here is the entry form for the 2020 Virtual Student Exhibition. Please email this form to your students from all past terms between Spring 2019 and Spring 2020 and invite them to submit. Details about the show are included in the application. (DEADLINE: May 20)
Northview Gallery 2020 Virtual Student Exhibition Entry Form
The Northview Gallery invites you to enter your best artwork made in a class at PCC Sylvania to the Northview Annual 2020 Student Exhibition! Since we can't be physically together in the gallery to look at the amazing work everyone has made this past school year, we will instead close the distance between us by providing a virtual exhibition to display and honor your hard work. Artwork images and information are due Wednesday, May 20, 2020. If selected, your work will be displayed on the Northview Gallery website beginning Monday June 1st, 2020 - https://www.pcc.edu/galleries/sylvania/ and on the Northview Gallery Instagram page - @pccnorthview - and awards will be announced Friday, June 5th, 2020 (time to be determined). Eligibility: Any PCC Sylvania Campus art student who has taken an art class for credit between and including Spring 2019 through Spring 2020 terms may participate. Students may enter up to three (3) works from art classes in any combination of medium. For example, upload digital photographs of your artwork and your video/digital art: -- 2-D artwork (drawing, painting, printmaking, photography) -- 3-D artwork (ceramics, sculpture) -- 4-D time-based artwork (video or other digital media; videos will be uploaded to the PCC YouTube site and must be captioned or submitted with a transcription; video must be free of copyrighted music; preferable run time of less than 5 minutes; .mov or MP4) Name your images to upload with your last name, first name, and title of artwork - for example, Lastname.Firstname.ArtworkTitle.jpg (Picasso.Pablo.StillLifeWithChairCaning.jpg). You may need to shorten the title when naming your image for upload. Include with your images: * title of the artwork * date * materials * size (height x width x depth) or (time in minutes) or (resolution in pixels) * class/term/instructor * optional short explanation (100 words or less) of the artwork (You may want to write about materials and processes, visual qualities, themes and concepts.) Northview Gallery reserves the right not to exhibit artwork for any reason. How to photograph your art: https://youtu.be/FKgWIzvm3Hs Important dates: Artwork images and information is due Wednesday, May 20th, 2020. Upload images and information using this form and through your PCC email. Online exhibition opens at https://www.pcc.edu/galleries/sylvania/ and on Instagram @pccnorthview on Monday June 1st, 2020 and awards will be announced on Friday June 5th, 2020. Submitting this form: Section 2 collects your personal information and media release. Sections 3 - 5 each collects the image (500 KB - 2 MB) or video file (if larger than 10 MB, email us) and information listed above about your artwork. Gather the information listed above before you begin this form. Questions? Contact us at christine.weber15@pcc.edu and mandy.stigant@pcc.edu Thank you for taking the time to participate in "Closing the Distance" the Northview Gallery 2020 Virtual Student Exhibition - our first ever online exhibition!
