Homework notes 1/17

1. Play with your media and materials in your sketchbook. Get to know the media and the kind of marks that you can make.
2. Draw a frame and populate it. Don't take too much time. Go loose. Mess around, make mistakes, it's ok.
3. practice the drawing of cubes, spheres, cylinder, cone and wedge. They don't have to be perfect but don't cling to your mistakes.
4. Practice and play with building up different tones and values. Start with your ballpoint pen.

5. Try to constrain your lines to different patterns and lengths.

6. Whatever else you want to draw, draw it!

Working w/ color is like working with black & white (value contrast). Besides balancing light/dark, balance hot/cold & complementary colors. twitter.com/betobeto/statu…
